Founded in 1977, Canadian Parents for French is the only nation-wide organization dedicated to the promotion and creation of French second language learning opportunities for young Canadians. Its 25,000 members, predominantly English speaking parents from throughout Canada, are motivated by the desire to have their children learn French as a second language. They are united by the conviction that all Canadian children, in all parts of Canada, should have the right to become bilingual in English and French.
